The northern tourism circuit is by far the most popular safari circuit in Tanzania, comprising most of the must-see destinations in the country. over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flowing south from the Central Serengeti at the end of December Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, is part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April.
Day by Day Itinerary
Afret pleasant arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport/JRO or Arusha Airport/ARK), you will be met by Sopai Safaris representative. After a short briefing of himself he will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay, waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.

Depart after breakfast and drive straight to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive together with our picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to Karatu for the dinner and overnight. Tarangire National Park covers an undulating area of 2,600km2, between the plains of the Maasai Steppe to the south-east, and the lakes of the Great Rift Valley to the north and west. โฆ In the south are a series of vast swamps which dry into verdant plains during the dry season.

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will explore the vast Serengeti with its endless plains looking for the big cats. The Serengeti hosts the largest mammal migration in the world and is a popular destination for African safaris. The Serengeti is the most famous for its annual migration. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebra flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November. They then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June.

After a beautiful breakfast at your accommodation in the Southern Serengeti “Ndutu” you will be driving straight to Ngorongoro crater for the full day game drive inside the Ngorongoro crater, The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera in the world. It is a scenic showstopper that extends across an astonishing 260 square kilometres. The crater is hemmed in on all sides by sheer craggy walls that rise up to 600m above the floor. The view from the lushly forested rim is utterly stupendous and would justify a visit to Ngorongoro in its own right. But this spectacular crater also stands as one of Africaโs most alluring safari destinations, supporting solid populations of all of the Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, black rhino and buffalo), plus a host of other iconic large mammals, in a lush and scenic landscape that frequently draws comparisons to the metaphorical โGarden of Edenโ. after the crater tour, you will ascend the crater to Karatu for your dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, weโll drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and in the afternoon, ย drive back to Arusha for your drop off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to your other destination or back home. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzaniaโs birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyaraโs legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
