If you’re a first-time visitor to Tanzania, this is where you want to be. This 5-day Mid-range Tanzania Safari will take you to the home of Elephant and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire National Park, and the magic Ngorongoro Crater which supports a year-round resident population of mammals including black Rhino, Lake Manyara Np and Serengeti Park.

Day by Day Itinerary

The vibrant town of Arusha is more than just a gateway to Tanzania’s ‘Northern Circuit, but for those who choose to linger a little longer before or after the safari. There is a lot to offer.
After a pleasant arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport, you will be welcomed by one of the Sopai Safaris representatives who will initially meet and greet you. After a short introduction of himself, he will transfer you to your dedicated hotel within Arusha City for your night stay waiting for your adventure to start on the next day.

Enjoy your breakfast at Ilboru Safari Lodge, Depart to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with your packed picnic lunch, The Park is Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania, the park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit, venture into the park for a matter of hours leaving parts of Tarangire virtually untouched.

Another must-see destination in Tanzania is the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, located in northern Tanzania. Thought to be the result of a volcanic explosion, this fertile valley is one the most beautiful natural wildlife safari destinations in the world and has even been named one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. The enclosed nature of the crater has created an ecosystem all of its own, resulting in some of the best opportunities to spot game. It also has the densest known population of lions. Buffalo, elephants, leopards, and rhinos can also be seen here, in addition to a host of other well-loved African classics like the ostrich, zebra, cheetah, wildebeest, gazelle, and even hippos, after the extensive game viewing in the crater, we will drive to Serengeti National Park for the dinner and overnight stay waiting for your adventure to continue on the following day.

Game viewing is superb year-round in the Serengeti, enjoy your breakfast at your accommodation and drive out with your packed picnic lunch, the park is home to the Big Five (although rhinos are rarely seen), and is particularly renowned for its predators – leopard, cheetah, lion and hyena – which are regularly spotted. The Serengeti also plays host to the phenomenal Great Migration, which sees millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle traversing the open plains of the park in search of fresh grass from seasonal rains, The dramatic scenes of huge herds on the move, crossing rivers and vast plains and pursued by predators looking for their next kill, are the stuff nature documentaries are made of Experiencing the Great Migration is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime event that most safari travelers have at the top of their bucket lists, later transiting the Ngorongoro conservation area to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
