The northern tourism circuit is by far the most popular safari circuit in Tanzania, comprising most of the must-see destinations in the country. If you’re a first-time visitor to Tanzania, this is where you want to be. This 3 days Camping Nature Experience Safari will take you the home of Elephant, Tarangire National Park and then you’ll visit the Serengeti, the Big 5 game haven and also the host of over 3 million large mammals. Then, you’ll go to Ngorongoro Crater which supports a year-round resident population of mammals and finally, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, an ornithologists’ paradise known for its elusive tree-climbing lions. You’ll stay in Public Campsites.
Day by Day Itinerary
Depart after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to the camp for the dinner and overnight.
The Park Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania that is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and quiet authentic safari atmosphere. The majority of travelers to the region either miss out on Tarangire altogether or venture into the park for a matter of hours leaving parts of Tarangire virtually untouched, Dinner and overnight will be at Tarangire Public Campsite.

Enjoy your breakfast at Tarangire Public Campsite before departing for the full day game drive in Ngrongoro Crater Crater, Ngorongoro crater is located in northern Tanzania. Thought to be the result of a volcanic explosion, this fertile valley is one the most beautiful natural wildlife safari destinations in the world and has even been named one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. The enclosed nature of the crater has created an ecosystem all of its own, resulting in some of the best opportunities to spot game. It also has the densest known population of lions. Buffalo, elephants, leopards, and rhino can also be seen here, in addition to a host of other well-loved African classics like the ostrich, zebra, cheetah, wildebeest, gazelle, and even hippos, after an extensive game drive you will ascend the crater and drive to Karatu at Migombani Public Campsite for your dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha for your drop off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to your other destination or back home.
Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
