Day by Day Itinerary

1: Arrival in Arusha | Tanzania Safari Experience

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a SOPAI Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Located at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s famous Northern Safari Circuit. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for your upcoming wildlife adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic national parks. Overnight stay in Arusha.

2: Tarangire National Park Safari | Elephants & Baobab Trees

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a game drive through diverse landscapes while searching for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Tarangire offers some of Tanzania’s finest wildlife viewing experiences. In the afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

3: Karatu – Western Serengeti “Grumeti Migration Experience”

Following breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Arrive at your safari camp in the Grumeti region for dinner and an overnight stay.

4: Full-Day Western Serengeti “Grumeti Migration Experience”

Spend a full day exploring the Western Serengeti and the Grumeti River area. During migration season, thousands of wildebeests and zebras gather here as they continue their annual journey across the Serengeti ecosystem. Search for river crossing action, large crocodiles, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and other wildlife that make this region one of Tanzania’s premier safari destinations.

5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari | Big Five Wildlife Experience

After breakfast, depart Serengeti and travel to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 6: Lake Manyara National Park Safari & Return to Arusha

Famous for its tree-climbing lions, diverse habitats, and rich birdlife, the park offers excellent wildlife viewing in a compact setting. Explore forests, open plains, and lakeshore areas while searching for elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and flamingos. Later, return to Arusha where your safari concludes.
