The northern tourism circuit is by far the most popular safari circuit in Tanzania, comprising most of the must-see destinations in the country. If you’re a first-time visitor to Tanzania, this is where you want to be. This 5 days Tanzania Safari will take you the home of Elephant, Tarangire National park and then you’ll visit the Serengeti, the Big 5 game haven and also the host of over 3 million large mammals. Then, you’ll go to Ngorongoro Crater which supports a year-round resident population of mammals and finally, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, an ornithologists’ paradise known for its elusive tree-climbing lions. You’ll stay in luxury standard accommodations.
Day by Day Itinerary
The vibrant town
of Arusha is more than just a gateway to Tanzania’s ‘Northern Circuit, but for those who choose to linger a little longer before or after safari. There a lot to offer.
After a pleasant arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha airport, you will be welcomed by one of the Sopai Safaris representatives who will initially meet and greet you. After a short introduction of himself, he will transfer you to your dedicated hotel within Arusha City for your night stay.

Depart after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. In the evening, drive to the camp for the dinner and overnight.
The Park Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania that is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and quiet authentic safari atmosphere. The majority of travelers to the region either miss out on Tarangire altogether or venture into the park for a matter of hours leaving parts of Tarangire virtually untouched.

Enjoy your breakfast at Ngorongoro farm House Lodge before departing for the full day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater Crater, descending the crater for the crater tour and photograph, Ngorongoro crater is located in northern Tanzania. Thought to be the result of a volcanic explosion, this fertile valley is one the most beautiful natural wildlife safari destinations in the world, and has even been named one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. The enclosed nature of the crater has created an ecosystem all of its own, resulting in some of the best opportunities to spot game. It also has the densest known population of lions. Buffalo, elephants, leopards, and rhino can also be seen here, in addition to a host of other well-loved African classics like the ostrich, zebra, cheetah, wildebeest, gazelle, and even hippos.

After your breakfast at the camp, we’ll have en route game drive in the central Serengeti “Seronera” still viewing the great migration, transiting the Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu for your dinner and overnight.
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the big five named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with the population of around 1,000. African Elephant.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha for your drop off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to your other destination or back home.
Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
